Published: Last updated:

The second episode of The Yellow Duck Podcast, a wicked-cool conversation with Dr Heinz Kabutz, a Java specialist that once used the programming language to get his skipper’s license, is on the air.

We’ll continue bringing you amazing stuff from the tech side of the world so long as there are great people to talk to and interesting stuff to cover, so feel free to shoot us a suggestion through our Facebook page.

Heinz is the mastermind behind The Java Specialists’ Newsletter. He has a PhD in Computer Science. Heinz has programmed significant portions of several large Java applications and has taught Java to thousands of professional programmers. He is a regular speaker at all the major Java conferences.

Heinz was chosen as a Java Champion by Sun Microsystems, the inventors of Java, for his work in advancing Java.

He presents the Java training courses anywhere in the world, either in person or via remote teaching technologies. He is the author of all our courses, including Java Specialist Master, Design Patterns and Concurrency Specialist Courses.

In this episode of the Yellow Duck Podcast, our host Marcin Kraszewski talks to Heinz about whether some people are unteachable or if it is a question of teaching technique. Heinz comes right back to talk about the passion in programming and how that should and always is the biggest drive for the best programmers. They talk about what it really means to be a specialist in a particular technology and Heinz gives us some great pointers! And so much more…
